Greetings, travelers! Welcome to beautiful Medellín, the city of eternal spring.
This is a free tour, which means there is no fixed price. At the end of the tour, participants decide how much they want to contribute based on their experience and satisfaction, leaving a tip for the guide. We invite you to discover our Comuna 13 in Medellín, a place that, due to its geographical location, had become the most dangerous area in the world. We will tell you what really happened in this area, why illegal armed groups came to Comuna 13, and how the entire armed conflict in the area began.
We will narrate the process and details of the 24 military operations in Comuna 13, which began in 1998 and ended in 2002, with a focus on the two largest operations carried out in Comuna 13: Operation Mariscal and Operation Orión.
We will conclude by talking about social transformation. Comuna 13 in Medellín has become one of the most visited places in Antioquia and Colombia. That’s why we will tell you about its beginnings, the Exodus through the armed conflict, and, of course, the social transformation of this neighborhood through culture, art, graffiti, the Street Dance show, and many other things you will discover in this fascinating experience.
